I should probably be off studying oceanography, but I decided why not ramble on for a little bit about the so called "Kiss me I'm Irish" syndrome. I haven't done the statistics on the population of Rapid City or for the rest of the United States; however, I still can't seem to figure out, why there are so many damn Irish people? If you are me or anything like me - you are confused. I realize Irish settlers were one of the first to immigrate to the United States, but are there really that many of you?
I guess it is logical to assume that over time the population grew, but exactly what percentage of Irish are you and is that relatively significant for you to celebrate a holiday such as St Patrick's Day. Most of us are muts these days, that is, unless your parents were both Irish and from what I have seen, as you Irish people drink (which Irish people do a lot of) you really don't give a flying fuck who you court.
So get over your bullshit. You are probably faux Irish anyways. You know what I mean, it's like those wood blinds, but not really wood. Oh yeah, and kiss me I am a MUT!
